This is a complete guide to finishing the Gaius the Gleeful fusion event as a free-to-play players. Here, we are giving you the most important tips you must know to get all of the Gaius the Gleeful fragments.
First, let’s take a look at the fusion event calendar first.
Gaius the Gleeful Fusion Cost
There is another radical change to the Fragment Fusion Event Structure this month. Lets get down to the details…
Pay Wall:
- Champ Chase T (04/28-05/02) 15
- Summon Rush E (04/22-04/25) 20
- 5 Bonus Fragments for 1st or 2nd Place Finish in Tournaments
Pay Wall is all about Shards. You want Sacreds (500 pts)/Voids (120 pts) for Summon Rush and Summoning saved up Fragment Fusions for Champ Chase. Mystery Shards is always the first option and can fill the gap in points. You will need 25 Fragments from Summon Events to Fuse Gaius but notice there are only 15 Fragments from Champ Chase as opposed to 20 for Summon Rush. We need 20 Fragments from Summon Events. One way to get this is to Max Out Summon Rush t. We’re projecting 2x Ancients for Champ Chase for this Fusion which is a fantastic time to try and Pull Ancients. We’ll talk about which one is “better” at the Fusion Plan Section.
Energy Wall:
- Champion Training E (04/20-04/25) 15
- Dungeon Divers I E (04/20-04/25) 10
- Dungeon Divers II E (04/26-04/29) 5
- Dungeon Divers II E (04/30-05/03) 5
- Artifact Enhancement I E (04/19-04/22) 5
- Artifact Enhancement II E (04/25-04/28) 5
- Champion Training T (04/26-04/29) 5
Dungeon Divers is the real pain here, as always, and there are three of them! Champ Training Tournament overlaps with Champ Chase for about a day which means you can get some free Value there from Campaign Runs. Always play when you can play and try to avoid having “must play” days because Real Life can be hard to Predict. Artifact Enhancement will just use Silver from all your Dungeon and Campaign Runs.
Progression Wall:
- Spiders T (04/22-04/25) 5
- Dragons T (04/26-04/29) 5
- Fire Knights T (04/19-04/22) 5
- Ice Golem T (04/30-05/03) 5
- Aena T I (04/22-04/25) 5
- Aena T II (04/28-05/01) 5
You will need to be able to Farm at least Stage 11-16 Dungeons (11 is more efficient but drops on 13 are better) to even participate here. Stage 20 in any Dungeon will mean a huge Energy Discount and if you are good at using your Energy you could getaway with just your Daily Energy Gains and even more so now with Advanced Quests. Less progression here mean more Energy per Tournament to get your 5 Fragments. Arena will need a decent Win Rate in at least Silver to go without Gemming more Tokens.
Fusion Plan
You will Pull Shards for this Fusion. You need 20 Fragments between the two Summon Events. The question is which way should you go?
If we take last month’s Summon Rush into account then you needed either 7 Sacreds or 29 Voids (3500 pts) to get the full 20 Fragments.
If you pick to Max out Champ Chase because it will be 2x Ancients that week then you will have to get the first 5 Fragments of Summon Rush which might roughly be between 2-3 Sacreds Worth (1150-1750 pts).
I’m definitely a fan of going for Champ Chase here even at the cost of a few Sacreds/Voids to get that first 5 Fragments from Summon Rush because 2x Ancients is a great time to Pull for Champ Chase pts.
Fusion Champ Value
Gaius the Gleeful is a truly Special Champ in the Game right now. This doesn’t mean he is the best at anything yet but his Passive is a Unique and Powerful Effect regarding Bombs.
A1 can give an Extra Turn on a KO which is ok in Dark Fae. A2 is an AoE Sleep and 2 Bombs on 2 Turn Timers. A3 is a Single Target Attack that pops the Bombs.
The Passive places Bombs at 30% Chance per Enemy Hit then Detonates all Bombs.
These kinds of Powerful and Unique Passives can lead to something amazing down the line or even immediately.
Souldrinker Places 2 Bombs on All Enemies when he dies (Combo!) or Grunch Killjoy Boosting Turn Meter for Each Bomb that goes off. They are pushing Bombs hard with Bommal, then Hydra and Stoneskin Set.
There will be more Bomb Champs and Interactions to come.
